Statistical Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL), advisor Prof. Jaesik Choi
I am a Ph.D. student at the KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI, in the Statistical Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL) advised by Prof. Jaesik Choi. My research is on explainable AI (XAI) for real-world prediction systems: diagnosing and correcting errors inside neural models — for example, automatic artifact correction in neural text-to-speech (IEEE TASLP 2025) — and making time-series and weather-forecasting models trustworthy.
From 2023 to 2026 I was a Senior Researcher at INEEJI, where I led AI work on national weather-AI projects with the National Institute of Meteorological Sciences (NWP error prediction, radar–gauge precipitation correction, a weather/climate foundation model) and built the company's XAI library. I received my M.S. from GIST (temperature and air-quality prediction, verbal aggression detection) and my B.S. from Korea Maritime & Ocean University.
